Field Sales Representative (Merchant Payment Solutions) – Gauteng
You will be responsible for acquiring new merchants in Gauteng by selling Design7’s payment solutions. This is a true field sales role: prospecting, visiting businesses, presenting the solution, closing deals, and ensuring merchants are successfully onboarded through our operations team.
Package

Basic salary: R6,500 per month

Fuel allowance: Provided (fixed monthly allowance)

Commission: Paid on performance (details shared during interview)
What you’ll do
-
Prospect and source leads (referrals, local business networks, outbound calling, and online leads)

Visit merchants and pitch Design7’s payment solutions
-
Qualify merchants (business type, expected turnover, decision-maker access, readiness)
-
Close deals and submit accurate onboarding information to the admin/onboarding team

Work toward weekly and monthly targets (meetings, deals closed, activations)

Maintain accurate activity logs and pipeline updates
What we’re looking for

Driver’s license + reliable vehicle (non-negotiable)

Comfortable working in the field daily and speaking to business owners

Sales confidence: able to handle objections and close

Strong discipline: consistent follow-up and reporting

Basic admin ability (documents, forms, tracking)

Experience in field sales, merchant services, telecoms, insurance, or FMCG is a plus (not required if you can sell)
